Explore the stone manor house and brick ferry house, wander through the heritage gardens, and stroll down a quiet country road along the Croton River. There, you'll experience the domestic life of a patriot family living in the years just after the American Revolution - the New Nation period. Site is open for tours on weekends during July and August. Property also hosts the popular events LIGHTSCAPES in the spring and the Great Jack O'Lantern Blaze in the fall.

There is a splendid light show at the manor in the spring -- amazingly effective. But the guided tours of the house furnished as it would have been just after the American Revolution, followed by a pleasant walk down to the Hudson River make you...More

This is the first time I got to visit Van Courtland Manor when the Spring Light Show or the Blaze was not going on and it was a full tour of the house. The tour was detailed and informative. The tour guide took her time...More

I've only been here for two night time events, The Blaze and Lightscape. There is plenty of free parking and the events are just OK really nothing to write home about. They could do alot to enhance the experiences.

We've done the Blaze a few times and this looked to be a nice family outing kinda thing. If it wasn't for the humid night it would've been more enjoyable. $90 for a family of 4 for what it is........is WAY overpriced.

Went for "Lightscapes" and really enjoyed. It's amazing what can be done with recyclables. The kids and the "big kids" in our group really enjoyed it.

I was here for the Halloween Blaze. Although there were hundreds of tourists here, it was well organized and the crowds moved along the gravel pathway in the dark pretty well. I did not get to go in the manor house itself, which I may...More

Very creative and kid friendly. Very easy to get to and staff were very helpful. Cute gifts to purchase along with sweet treats. Fairly easy to walk but wear good sturdy footwear.

I visited there during the lightscape. It was unbelievable. The place was nicely-decorated. It reminded me a little bit of SweetLight in Hershey. I slowly walked around the path. It took me about 1 hour total. What a beautiful theme. I highly recommend this.
