It is a sea of lavender! Not that far from NYC. You can spend couple of ours there and enjoy the scenery and take pictures. There is a small cute shop that you can buy dried lavender and hand made postcards!

My wife and I stopped by late in the afternoon. Our late August visit fell between the July harvesting of the French lavender and the soon to be harvested English lavender. Both were wonderful.
