Established in 1873, Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is the largest animal welfare organization helping pets and people in the Greater Rochester area.

We encourage families of all ages to visit the shelter and our outdoor Farm Yard Petting Area and Walk, which offer educational displays to help people of all ages learn more about the many different animals for whom we care. Our campus also includes a network of Nature trails, and we are adjacent to Egypt Park that includes a pavilion and playground as well. Inside, visitors are welcome to visit the animals and shop in our gift shop.

With a main campus located in Fairport and several other adoption centers throughout the community, the organization provides shelter, care, and adoption for dogs, cats, small animals, birds, reptiles, horses, and other farm animals. Other services available include Humane Law Enforcement, Dog Training, Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Services, Pet Supplies and Gifts, Pet Assisted Therapy, Humane Education and Camps, and Behavior Advice. Lollypop Farm is an independent nonprofit organization supported entirely by contributions from the community.

Lollypop Farm is a great place to go with children. It can be a very educational experience as well as fun. They have plaques to describe what animals you will see along the path. Once inside the facility, you will see all of the animals that are up for adoption. It is difficult to leave there without wanting to take... More

Besides being a great place to select a family pet, they have animals to visit and pet, a walking trail and even a gift shop.

We always adopt our pets from Lollypop, but some weekends we'd take our young son there to play. Their pet play and petting areas have improved over the years, and they are adjacent to a nice park with jungle gym.

Lollypop Farm is run by the local Humane Society. In addition to "what you would expect", i.e., dogs and cats for adoption, there is also a "farm walk" where you can view other animals that have been taken in. Kids really like the farm walk.

First visited to see what it was all about. My daughter adopted a rescue dog and is the shadow of her heart. My grandson had a birthday party there and they were great with the kids and adults as well. Out of town visitors have loved it there.

The Lollypop farm does excellent work in taking care of animals that need it most. The farm is helped by donations and really counts on people to help them help the animals. It's a wonderful place with nice quiet grounds and country atmosphere. Adopt, donate, and visit!

2 of our three dogs came through Lollypop and they are by far, the most welcoming creatures we've ever had the chance to love. Lollypop does a great job of making the adoption process easy. And in full disclosure, I've volunteered there before and they do a nice job of working with their volunteers as well.

Take the little ones. They can get up close and personal to the animals. the older ones can learn about how to take care of them. This farm also has a rescue service to help a banded dogs and cats.

While it is primary the humane society, it also boasts lovely grounds you can walk around and through. It has free parking, two paths, and an adjacent playground. Farm animals are outside and domestic are in the building.
