This park has lots to see. i went in the winter, just pulling into the parking area, we found 3 red foxes and about 6 deer. Being a photographer, it was great to see these animals. It wasn't so great that people bring bread/bagels to...More

Had a beautiful morning at this Historic Beach ! Other than the $15 parking charge, beaches were well maintained and plenty of Life-guards were on scene ! Landscaping around Memorial there to honor the people of Flt 800 from July17,2002 ! Amazing beauty !

The beach is fantastic. However, the outer beach is often closed. Camping is great so close to the beach but bathrooms and showers are filthy. No lifeguards at the area of the beach by the campground.

Ok so this is not a tourist place, its a beach for the locals, music on the boardwalk, crab shack, lifeguards and lots of space. Parking is amazing there is so much of it.

If you want to camp by the beach, this is the best. We lucked out and got a full hook up spot, right on the beach, at the last minute. The people were wonderful to work with and the internet was delightful surprise. Well worth...More

Can I use the off road fishing permit from Robert Moses and drive on the beach at Smith Point County Park? If so, is there an air compressor station to refill the tires when coming off the sand anywhere nearby?

Sorry, I don't know the answer to that. You can probably call the Suffolk County parks department office and they should have an answer for you.
