Lovely walk along the beach from Cherry Grove, board walk around the sunken forest, nice view of the bay - just generally a nice walk to take. You need to be quiet if you hope to see deer (we didn't!). There is a bathroom block...More

Sunken Forest is such a beautiful place. The wildlife and nature is amazing, a really nice little hike. If you come, just be sure to be quiet not to scare the nature away!

the boardwalk through the forest is one of as kind and it opens onto a wide, nearly empty ocean beach. A great place to see the natural beauty of Fire Island.
