We always enjoy learning local history when traveling. Rose Hill Mansion is a good stop. Can only be viewed by guided tour, so check their website for times. Well stocked gift shop on site.

Short but informative tour. Our guide was very personable and made it interesting. It's not the Biltmore but then what is? Lots of history at Rose Hill.

This facility has a lot of history. The guide was well versed and explained everything in great detail. The grounds overlook the lake and are quite beautiful.

There isn't any mention of the owner builder of the property, or who saved the property from destruction. The focus is for the 50 years that the Swan family owned the property. There is so much more history to this mansion.

Besides the tour, the grounds are somewhat limited. It still is worth it. They also give you coupons for free wine tasting on the premises.
