From the feeder dam in the west to the five combines in the east, this trail offers varied and peaceful walking, biking, and canoeing. In most places, you would never know you were walking through the middle of a small city. Very nice!

First I want to note that the photo Trip Adviser uses in its cover for the Feeder Canal is of the Fort Edward Amtrak Station which is not located on the Feeder Canal Trail - its a good 2-3 miles away. That said the feeder...More

Flat, well-maintained mostly gravel trail (paved in short sections) that runs parallel to downtown Glens Falls. Busy, but not crowded. Beautiful scenery.

You have the Feeder Canal on one side, and the Hudson River on the other. There is no grade, so it's just a nice little walk with trees to provide shade. It's paved, so you don't need hiking shoes, and you can bring your dog...More

This is a nice meander along the feeder canal bringing you into town. The gravel path is well maintained and although it is well used it is not crowded.

On a hot day, it can be quite buggy, but it's a really nice place to ride bikes--peaceful and quite lovely.

You can get on the trail at different points. There are just as many walkers as bikers. The trail is wide, easy terrain, suitable for strollers. Mostly shaded. Benches along the trail to sit and enjoy the view or have a picnic
