My mother and I spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon here touring the house, the gardens and enjoying an afternoon tea. The Main House has guided tours on the weekends and we took advantage of hearing the history. We toured the Dahlia flower gardens, walked along...More

Visited today with family from Israel. Fall in its best, Golden leaves and trails , yet sunny and pleasant. The house is immaculately kept, although had access to the 1 st floor only. Had delicious lunch and tea at the cafe.

Had a terrific lunch at the cafe before my tour of the house. Love hearing about Long Island history and seeing how people on Long Island lived in the 1700-1800's. Great house and tour guide. Want to tour the outside next!

Went for a walk with my girlfriend and was so impressed with the view and the grounds!! The Connetquot River was so nice to walk along. We had lunch inside at The Hidden Oak Cafe. Very nice afternoon!

A hidden hideaway in East Islip. A small restaurant can also cater special events and lunches Very nice for a quiet stroll around the grounds and along the river

Nestling on the shore of the Connetquot River is Bayard Cutting Arboretum. My husband and I spent much of the summer visiting various estates, parks, and manors that populate Long Island, many of them on the North Shore, the “Gold Coast.” We’d made a list...More

The guided tours are cursory and the lighting is dim. A full tour would be worth an extra fee. The cafe could easily host parties and events. In other words, there are better possibilities. There is anohher room that can host a party, but we...More

This is an amazing, beautiful and peaceful place. We went on a tour of the grounds at 11:00, followed by the Manor House tour at 1 and the attic tour at 2:30. Then we had a late lunch at the lovely Hidden Oak Cafe. I...More

I’m not sure, but I would think so. There are no guards at the gate. You pay at a machine like a parking meter. They drive around in carts once in awhile for tours and to make sure everyone knows to leave by five pm... More
