The scenic beauty was worth the trip. Just starting the hike with a long view of the falls was spectacular enough.

Had a chance to visit the falls during a road trip this past Summer and absolutely loved our time here. Lots of visitors but the falls are big enough to accommodate all. Plus there are several tiers to the falls and you can explore them...More

I really enjoyed the views from this waterfall. It was especially great to come here during the metamorphosis of the leaves. There is a parking lot above the falls, but I found the walk from the parking lot to the waterfall to be a bit...More

This was a great hike. It was very beautiful. The waterfall at the end was spectacular. Parking was a hassle. It's on the side of a very winding road that has a moderate amount of traffic passing through.

This is a must do! Hands down. Parking in the park was the only reason I gave it four stars. Parking just sucked. There was more than enough land that they could widen the parking lot, and you couldn't park along the drive. Also the...More

The Kaaterskill Falls are a sight to behold. The hike was technical and steep make sure you wear proper footwear and bring water in the warmer months. We started our hike at the base off route 23A. This entrance is tricky to spot and be...More

This waterfall really does live up to the hype. One tip, though. It seems like the upper Laurel House Road trail is really being pushed by the powers that be, but hiking from the bottom from the original trailhead on 23A really is the best...More

There is a reason this is such a heavily trafficked site. the hike is short and easy. There are stairs that are pretty steep, but there is a rail and you can take your time. You would really be selling yourself short to pass by...More

Loved going here as a kid and navigating the death defying cliffs to get to the pool (to swim!) at the bottom of the Top falls! Brought my kids about 10 years ago and found it still crazy dangerous, but awesome all the same. They...More

I see no reason why you can not bring your kids along. Just remember to keep an eye on them and within easy reach. They should not go off wondering around by themselves.
