This massive property is steeped in heritage, being America's oldest bonded winery (meaning there may be older wineries, but this one first to follow the rules). The wines are from Niagara and Catawba grapes - not for snobby wine enthusiasts. We love them, as well...More

This place is a must see! We had a little trouble finding it, but it was well worth the effort. A museum and a winery, wow. The wine list is quite extensive, and it was difficult to limit my spending. We will DEFINITELY return on...More

While at another winery, we met a couple who told us the Pleasant Valley Winery Tour is a must do. They were so right! Allow an hour for this. The tour costs $5... What a bargain. Tours start at 11 AM and a new tour...More

Had a good time at the tasting bar. Pourer was well-informed. Wine was great. Expanded my wine horizons.

It was a spectacular peak autumn day in Pleasant Valley, Sunday October 16th at 80 degrees. The visit to Pleasant Valley Wine Company was nostalgic in seeing it being revived by the current private owner. We have fond memories of Great Western Winery of the...More

Our tour guide provided a great tour of the winery and a significant amount of the history behind the winery which is one of the oldest in the Finger Lakes area. Following the tour we were treated to a great wine tasting.

Two noticeable pluses for this winery over others we visited; no charge for tasting and a museum to inform. Friendly staff and helpful. Better known for sparkling wines and sherry but a little something for all tastes.

I believe so. Their web site only says they are closed NY, Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving.
