Red Newt Cellars is one of the Finger Lakes' preeminent Riesling producers. Rieslings from our most popular "Circle" Riesling to a full lineup of single vineyard selections are produced at Red Newt. Elegant wines of Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris are also a focus. In addition to these aromatic white wines, Red Newt produces a line of exquisite Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir wines from select vineyards in the Finger Lakes. The Tasting Room at Red Newt provides a traditional "stand up" tasting of Red Newt Cellars current wine releases. Each day, featured wines are offered for tasting. Tastings are available on a walk-in basis for groups of up to 12. Reservations are suggested for groups larger than eight.

Our server was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We were very impressed. Loved the blue newt white. Their labels are beautiful.

Red Newt Cellars makes serious and world class wines, with dry Rieslings that are equal to those from Germany and Alsace. We had an exceptional guide for our tasting: Heather, who is engaging, articulate, and very knowledgeable, offered an outstanding introduction to their wines. In addition to our tasting, we enjoyed a delicious light lunch, accompanied by a dry Riesling,... More

Nice tasting room, nice outdoor deck. Favorite was RNC Viridescens, second was Merlot. Overpriced. Wasn't feeling the vibe of the place, but I can see why others would. Nothing special to us.

Simply the best Riesling you will find anywhere. The Riesling selections tell you they are serious about this grape. Our server Mary Ellen was quite nice. My favorite.

This winery is just off of the main road. It was really easy to find. It has a very clean and simple decor inside, so you're not overwhelmed when tasting wines. They did have a coffee bar just to the left of the tasting room, which would be great for the non-wine drinkers. The coffee bar had a great selection... More

Came in here on a Tuesday afternoon. Couple other groups were tasting. Server was attentive with wine details and questions. Credit card machine was acting up after purchasing a bottle, so the "knucklebuster" came out. The winery felt more like a bistro...and that is what a lot of people have also commented.

This winery was nice and open inside, the layout was great and took advantage of the scenery with huge windows. We came in November when it was quiet, and the restaurant part was closed which was a little disappointing but understandable. We had one on one service and enjoyed the wines, we purchased a Cab Franc. They had a nice... More

We were surprised to be greeted by a hostess behind a desk as we entered the large room where the wine tasting bar was to one side and a coffee bar was to the other side. We felt the whole room had a coffee shop vibe with a coffee aroma – not what you want to smell when tasting wine... More
