My family spent three days there mid week. The park was quiet and beautiful. We met so many friendly people. We saw the Park Rangers frequently, very helpful gentlemen. I really felt safe. The beaches were sandy and inviting. We went after the summer rush so the park wasn't very full, a bonus. It's so close to Syracuse and Watertown. I... More

This is our go to beach in upstate NY. Only 45 min. from Syracuse. Nice flat sandy beach, great for walking and gaucking. Professional life guards, concession stsnd, bathrooms and changing rooms. Easy to take a 2 mile walk. We come here once or twice per summer.

I am grateful we have the military in our community, however, this has ruined this beach for those of us who grew up here. Loud music, terrible behavior, inconsiderate people leaving trash everywhere. As the mother of two beautiful blonde teenage girls, I don't want them anywhere near this place in season.

We spent 3 days here in this camp site. This is an excellent beach and you have over 3 miles of Lake Ontario beach to walk on if you include the neighboring wildlife preserve. We stayed in Loop D which has some shade and very quite even with pets allowed. Campground is clean, bathrooms clean. Guarded beach is great but... More

This is one of the Great Lake Ontario region state parks. The beach is well over a mile long. The roped off area with a life guard is smaller, but you are not limited to it. There is a nice cafe that offers food and beverages. They also keep several items stocked that one often forgets for the picnic. Slim... More

Brought my family of 5 to the beach and it was very nice except there was more algae than expected in the water, probably due to the heat. Showers were nice and large enough for me to easily take my son in with me to clean up.

Beautiful beach with lifeguards on Lake Ontario. The sand beach was very nice, there was a small amount of algae, the temps were nice and there was a cool breeze. Highly recommend for a day or two.

We took part in a wedding right at the edge of the beach near the concession stand. The parking was easy, bathhouse was clean, and beach seemed pleasant.

We just got home from our second visit to this campground. We first booked a week here on site 44 in September 2015 for a honeymoon just my husband and I. This more recent visit (June 23-26) was with close friends and their kids (ages 6 & 8). We stayed on site 55 and they were on site 56. Positive:... More
