What an amazing trail. My granddaughter was thrilled by the fairies houses and the troll bridge. She wants to go back at dusk to see if the fairies come home. Fireflies would be so perfect. The Nature Center was also fun to see. Lived in Rochester all my life and never knew this existed. We will be back.

I've been walking for the last 7 years around the parameter trial and Nature trail. This summer I've had to stop frequently because families with young child are looking at the Fairy Houses. I love watching the kids and even brought my own Granddaughter to see the houses. I never blocked any one from walking. This was designed as a... More

We were so pleasantly thrilled with our visit to this nature park! We spent 3 hours here and decided to save the museum for our next visit. Not only are the paths easily walkable with a 6 yr old, the area is beautiful and the addition of the fairy houses is magical! After our lovely walk along the fairy trail... More

I'd heard about the fairy houses on the trail so went to check it out. They are incredibly creative and fun, and plenty to see. Searching for them is part of the fun. The trails are very well maintained, easily accessible to anyone (small ones, elderly, wheelchairs, strollers, medical scooters, etc.). No bikes or pets are allowed though. There is... More

We went today to look at the fairies houses. They were so cute and so imaginative. The trails were wonderful and kept clean. This was our first time visiting and we enjoyed ourselves and cant sit to visit again. Kudos to whomever did the fairy houses!

I literally can't say enough about this place! I saw it on Facebook and mentioned to my husband that I'd like to go; he surprised me with a trip! I expected a nice walk, but got so much more!! Here's the breakdown: -no dogs (please respect this rule!) -accessible to elderly, children, adults, strollers, wheelchairs, canes (the paths are smooth,... More

We spent a wonderful afternoon with our grandsons here. The trails are beautiful and educational. Small boxes are along the trail to surprise and delight. Indoors are more things to learn, from a friendly and knowledgeable staff. There are beehives to observe and learn about. Bring a picnic there a tables in pavilions. The only limits are your curiosity and... More

Tinker Park, Hansen Nature Center, is one of the great treasures of Monroe County, NY. I walk there almost daily, weather permitting. One of the biggest challenges for the park is the fact that many do not realize that dogs are a threat to the park's wildlife. Although there are signs everywhere stating that no dogs or pets are allowed,... More

They started to appear in 2014, unsigned and as far as I know, the artist is still anonymous. Tinker Nature Park features a perimeter trail that is 1.2 miles long, as well as a nature trail that is .5 miles long. The 68-acre park features a catch and release fishing pond, picnic areas, informational centers and rest rooms. The 20... More

We love this park and go often. The loop trail is right around a mile in length. There are fairy houses as well as hands on learning boxes for the kids. Definitely a hidden gem.
