I highly reccoommenjoying some rock hounding there anytime. You will get a great history lesson about the mines as well as how to do your own mining. It's fun for all ages! Friendly and knowledgeable staff are available to answer your questions also!

We went teens and they had great time looking and breaking rocks to find the diamonds. Even the adults were involved. We spent hours there. They have a cafe if you didnt bring food. A really nice gift shop. Plus if you cant find any...More

I don't think there is a particular schedule. My understanding is after Ted & crew have mined on the right side, debris is moved to the left side where the public "mines" .

Directly acrossed the street is a campground with cabins. We LOVED it.
