Beautiful sandy beach. I hate water and this was a nice temperature for a quick dip to cool down. There's a nice little river part way down that you might need to get the little boat across at high tide!

Warm sea, breezey and plenty of loungers to sit on, with plenty of restaurants and bars - our favourite was Ninky Nanka.

Kotu Beach is the best beach in the Gambia and has everything. If you drive/walk down the Palma Rima Junction turn left after Luigi's Apartments Complex or continue straight both these road takes you to the beach. Kotu Beach is a beautiful white sandy beach and it seems to be calmer than other parts of the Gambia so the water... More

Wonderful sandy beach you can walk for more than a mile passing small bars and juice huts. A great place.

On the eighth visit in a three year period.I found the true place and its people. So before you complain about any beach boys( who are only scraping a living ,please stop and think). Whilst playing in the ocean with two Gambian friends, not even at waist high. One moment I was teaching a friend how to float in these beautiful... More

Kotu Beach stretches for miles, the sand is powder white and you could almost be in the Caribbean, however the sea has undercurrents and is not so safe to swim in. The only drawback to this lovely beach is the presence of bumsters who are employed by the beach bars and restaurants as touts and who are constantly in your... More

We stayed in April 2015 and had an amazing holiday, very peaceful and stress free. The hotel rooms are basic, (we stayed in Premium room) but are equipped with enough for what is needed. The selection of food for both breakfast and evening meal is great, more than plenty of choices for everyone; the breakfast chef Abdoulie does the most... More

The tidal waves at day get sometimes so strong that the red flag is hissed. But normally it is a peaceful and ideal beach with some possibility of water sports like jet-ski, stand-up paddling. It is not overcrowded with bars and restaurants, so you have a very good chance to find a peaceful place for you. Personally I would not let... More
