Stunning!

A remarkable building and courtyard with superb detail! The galleries featured a mix of art -- mostly contemporary. There is also an excellent bookstore attached.

My hotel was close to this museum so one day I decided to visit it. It is wonderful museum ... pity it did not have enough time to enjoy it. I recommend you to reserve min 2 hours for visit of this museum. I was very surprised that such great museum was for free.

This beautiful museum is housed in a former Augustine monastery which is worth the visit just to see it. We saw 2 beautiful exhibits. One presenting Famous artists of Mexico up to the last century. A beautiful collection. We also discovered a new (to us), talented Mexican artist, Wuero Ramos. After leaving the museum we bought a book of his... More

If for no other reason visit the Museum of Arts just to see in interior courtyard. Truly magnificent! It will be one of the best interiors you see in all of Mexico. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and it was FREE. If you wanted to take photos, there was a $15MEX charge (extremely reasonable). It is not a large... More

Housed in the former Convent of San Agustín, this museum should be required visit when you go to Querétaro. The building alone is worth the visit; the views from all angles of the interior patio are astonishing (pay the 15 pesos fee for the use of the camera). The permanent collection is wonderful (do not miss the rooms of the... More

Maybe the exhibitions are not spectacular, but the building would worth your visit to this place. Beautiful and breathless architecture. Everything is in a very good condition.

We visited this museum and I thought it was worth the visit. The entrance was free and it had a rich baroque architecture which; like others reviewers mentioned it used to be a monastery during the New Spain. It had a rich art collection borrowed from Carlos Slim and couple of more art collectors. However, the only down size was... More

This free museum is housed in a beautiful ex-convent, with wonderful architecture and decoration in the cloisters. The works are all visual art, paintings, and represent many epochs. The most delicate pieces are in air conditioned rooms, which might be a relief to visitors on a hot day.
