We had booked a chalet on Hunter Mountain and were thrilled to see that the resort had a Oktoberfest that weekend. We could walk but choose to drive since I've just had surgery. Everyone was super friendly and were quick to answer questions. We choose...More

One of the best, if not the best mountains in the East Coast. So close to NYC. I alway take the NYC Snow Bus to Hunter Mountain.

To say their Oktoberfest is a let down is an understatment. The entire event was poorly organized and staff working are incompetent. The people working the event gave inaccurate and inconsistent information to many people attempting to get tickets. They would sell one VIP cider...More

Took the chairlift to the top of the mountain. It was a clear summer day. You could see as far as the Berkshires. Mountains all around and beautiful clean crisp air. The only negative was that there was a wedding going on and they would...More

The best time to go to Hunter is either during the week or on Sunday. Getting in first runs makes great sense. Thus mountain has a plethora of diverse runs and has enough expert runs to satisfy good skiers and a good beginner mountain.
