A beautiful place to visit, nice people, great mission. Find when they have tours, unless you already know about birds yourself! Ok for families, too, although kids need to pace and be as silent as adults..
The lab is the premier bird center in the US, if the world.
It is a modernistic building in Sasuke Woods.
It is free, and one can visit certain areas on the first and second floors. In the theater on select different videos to view....More
Overrated. The part we enjoyed the most is the small room called "sound lab." It took us a long time to figure out how to get the equipment to play us various bird calls; the signage and instructions are not as good as I would...More
The setting is perfect for birding of almost any level. Pull up a comfy chair inside and watch the feeders (with their networked iPad installed next to the window running Merlin ID software), or cruise the trails around Sapsucker Pond for more diverse bird life...More

Hello! Thanks for your interest in visiting the Lab of Ornithology! Today is a beautiful day and while our guided tour took place at 11 am the Visitor Center is open until 4 pm and trails are open until dusk. The majority of our exhibits are indoors but there is some artwork and information that can be found outdoors. We are free and open every day from 10 am - 4 pm. Hope to see you here!

I hope you are not waiting for your answer from Trip Advisor! They refer questions to folks who have visited the venue in the past and not to the venue itself. As a result I received your question but I have no idea what tours they offer. We visited earlier in the year and enjoyed their location in Ithica.
