This was easily the best waterfall we saw while in the area, and we saw quite a few. You can get so close to it, warning, you will get wet.

After 8 trips to Ithaca, this was the first time we found these falls in the center of town. The fall were raging with mist and breathe reminiscent of a micro-Niagara. Parking isnt well marked. The parking entrance is off of Lake Street with enough...More

These falls are the last and largest of a series of falls that cut through the Cornell campus. We happened to be driving through town when I remembered them. There is a small parking lot just before the falls on the right. Recommended.

These falls are actually a hidden gem that we were not aware of. We have seen the Taughannock, Buttermilk and the falls at Robert Treman State Park numerous times but someone in the Commons told us we just visit the falls right in town. GLAD...More

We went to Triphammer at Cornell, Taughannock, and Buttermilk, and each one was a unique and rewarding experience. Taughannock by far was the one that took our breath away. It was beautifully. I recommend visiting more than one of you can. Triphammer and Buttermilk were...More

Ithaca is surrounded by beautiful waterfalls and gorges. Ithaca falls is located in fall creek area close to downtown. It’s beautiful and is a very attractive location. One of my favorites water falls in the region. A must see place.

No, it's not legal there because it is dangerous, and there is no life guard But there are a large number of falls nearby, where swimming is allowed. Buttermilk State Park, on Route 13 south out of Ithaca, has swimming... More

There's not an exact address, but the falls are behind the Ithaca School District offices, 400 Lake St. You can't miss the falls, if you're driving on Lake Street behind the high school.

I'm afraid not, at least not if you'd like to get close to the falls. There's a road that crosses the river that flows from the falls and viewing the falls from that bridge would be possible. The path to the falls, however... More
