Overview
More
A high coastal 5.1 mile walk along the South West Coast Path through ancient woodland teeming with wildlife, with glimpses of stunning sea views through the trees and optional steep descents to two remote sand-and-shingle beaches. The village of Buck's Mills dates back to Saxon times while at Peppercombe the prehistoric cliff fort was superseded by a Victorian castle.

We stayed in the idyllic Rose's Cottage in Bucks Mills and had a wonderful week exploring the area. From Bucks Mills there is a selection of walks, to Clovelly either on the coastal path or beach (tides allowing) or to Peppercombe. The beach in Bucks...More

Loved the beach, excellent for rockpooling. Strange car park though, it has a very narrow entrance, too small for my normal sized people carrier. We took the cliff path in the end, very steep climb back up but good fun. No facilities at all, apart...More

We had a glorious walk down from Northway to Peppercombe beach on the South West path. A steep but well marked path takes you down from Northway (there is a pub at Horns Cross which could make a good starting point). Most of the path...More
