Lovely tortoises who are really like my lil doggies

Spent a good time there and the guides were really good. The parc felt lyk a place in the wild where the tortoises were not afraid of us and yearned for a carress

Firstly, I have to mention the road leading to this place. It is terrible! We had a small hire car and were very pleased when we and the car got back to the road in one piece! The attraction itself is certainly worth visiting. You see tortoises that are only a year old and very small to the ones 80... More

Beside the tortoise parc and the cave. Their is also a museum where we can learn more about the past of Rodrigues Island. The old Mauritius Post, the old Metro cinema projector of Port Mathurin. Skeletons of tortoise... then come the amazing 'balade' in tortoise and learned more about them and their introduction in the reserve. The guide have a... More

Very nice, guide was very professional. Keep it up. He knew his subject very well. But needs to be more accessible by road.

The access to the park is a rough one and quite a distance from the main road. The briefing is good and the visit starts with the park and its tortoises. The second part starts with a visit to a cave which is impressive. Bring your bottle of water as it is energy consuming.

Despite the price of 470 rupees per person a visit to the parc is worth that money. During the guided tour you walk through a canyon full of giant tortoises, that even can be touched. The visit includes as well a cavern which is well lit an where the guide shows you a lot of different shapes along the walls.... More
