Wilderness beauty. Adirondack history. Serenity. Cruise the pristine waters of Lake Placid in one of our enclosed pontoon boats. The hour-long, narrated tour travels 16 miles on one of the world's most beautiful lakes. See and hear about the stately manors situated along the shore, Adirondack wildlife, and Whiteface Mountain, site of the alpine events during the 1980 Winter Olympic Games. A Lake Placid boat tour is a must for all visitors to the Adirondacks. Rain or shine, it is truly a delightful experience.

We took advantage of the first sunny day on our vacation and took the afternoon boat tour. The day was beautiful and the tour was delightful. Some of the narration gets lost over the engine noise but it didn't matter. I was a great way...More

Took the ride on a cool May morning. A beautiful ride, well narrated and beautiful sights along Lake Placid.

The tour went all around the lake and the local tour guide made it fun to hear the stories and experiences of someone growing up on the lake.

The boat tour is great rain or shine. You will get great and mostly true narrative. The corny jokes are also included in the price. Young and old can enjoy this. Seriously...this is a great way to see a beautiful lake. The camps, homes and...More

This was a most interesting 1 hour boat trip of lake placid. The narrator was knowledgeable and humorous. In a covered catamaran type boat, we toured the lake with its numerous islands, some of them habitable. The shoreline is dotted with houses and boat houses...More

This boat ride was a highlight of our three day trip to Lake Placid. The day was beautiful and the trees were at peak. We had planned to take the 3:00 cruise. I'd advise you to go to the dock early to buy your ticket....More

Even on a grey, overcast, brisk morning, it was well worth it to take this charming boat ride. Our young guide, Captain Jack, was quite knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna of the lake. The scenery was spectacular and Captain Jack made sure we...More

An hour of your life you will remember forever. This boat tour was incredibly worth the $16 price per person. Sam, our guide, was informative and fun. He has been guiding for 10 years and lives in the area, so he knows "the rest of...More
