the old harbor and medina area of bizerte are worth exploring. there are still residents living inside the medina as well as a few dars. overall, i would say it hasn't been spoiled by tourism. if you visit in winter months, you will see citrus trees bearing fruits outside the medina. another 30 min on and through rolling farmland, you will arrive to cape angela, the northernmost corner of african continent. the monument itself is smaller than I expected. regular sedan can make it all the way to the end. high clearance vehicle is not necessary.

The old city is worth walking around and you can even take a peek in the old Medina. There are fishing boats tied up late in the day and the locals come out as the day cools down. We walked along the channel by the old wall of the Medina and around to the Phoenician boat that is a wonderful place to dine at sunset. A charming way to watch the locals going about their evenings.
