Fantastic scenery and best rapids watching once the Bujagali falls were submerged by the new dam. Despite the bad road, the journey is also pleasent going through several remote villages full of children.

The drive here from Jinja town is about 45 minutes. The roads aren't great and if it rains, don't even bother. The rapids are well worth the long bumpy ride. This is an experience I find hard to describe. The view and the monstrous sound...More

The rapids are breathtaking.. and worth the inconvinient drive plus annoying people asking for far to much shilling to acces the terrain. This place is worth more care and friendlyness.

Its really exciting see guys swim in the falls with just jerrycans that can help them float. This keeps you tense thinking one can hit a rock while swimming. Also the sound of the water falls is really awesome as you get to hear it...More

Following the demise of Bujagali Falls, Itanda, although a good old drive out, is an amazing replacement. Boooo to the greedy 'whites' who are charging $15 entry fee (5000 UGS for locals) but if you do part with your cash, you won't be disappointed. We...More

Exciting to stand next to powerful river rapids, well worth the drive. Guides and performers are very friendly and this site is a great replacement for Bujagali falls that used to be located a few miles upstream but is now a dam

The falls are located about 30 minutes outside Jinja and are poorly signposted so use Google maps if you are driving yourself. The non resident entry fee is US$15 which is quite extravagant and is supposed to go towards maintaining the environment and the eco...More
