Only one member of our family had ever been to a drive-in movie. There are none where we live. Visiting family in upstate New York we decided to go to this one. Went to a double feature for 10 bucks per adult. If you bring a cooler with food you get charged five bucks. They had all sorts of food at the snack bar.

Really good experience a lot of fun for the family! We even bought a T-shirt.

This drive in theatre takes me back to memories of childhood. If you are visiting the Saratoga area in the summer, it's a must see. The only problem is that I can't stay awake until the end of the second feature! Everything about it is the same as it was in the 50's and 60's. The food stand is clean and the service is fast, the restrooms are clean but old fashioned, the films are current and change frequently. If your kids have never been to a drive in, this is a great evening for the entire family!

Great drive in. Great value. Great prices at the snack bar. They even had black out plastic and tape for cars who's running lights stay lit.

What a mess. We waited in line for over an hour just to get in. Completely inefficient entry process. When we called to ask if we could use the tickets another night, the man was a total dick and said “absolutely not!” We got in line on Route 9 for a movie at 8:00, for an 8:50 start time, we’re still in the car at 9:19, and missed 30 minutes of the movie and are still about 30 minutes from getting in. Save your money. As for the manager that I spoke to-terrible customer service.

The drive-in is a good time for everyone. The movies are usually pretty good when it comes to kids movies and adult movie options. We had smaller children with us, set up our back seats, and it was great. One of the best things about this theatre is the pricing. The concessions are very reasonable, $3 for a large soda, $3 for nachos, plenty of candy options, etc. We had a good time and getting two movies for the price is even better. It is a definite stop if you are in the area and want to see a movie.

I love the fact that we have a drive in so close to home. It's a great way to see a movie! And a fun family activity!

If you've been to drive-ins before and love them for what they are, you'll find the Malta Drive-In *perfect*. If you're used to all-digital IMAX experiences, well, not so much. The charm is in the cash-only ticket gate, the owner announcing before the movie to please pick up your garbage otherwise she has to come in tomorrow morning and do it, the kids playing in front of the screen before the show, the snack shack, etc. We LOVE it, every so often;)

Couple tips: come from the North as the line from the South is usually 10x as long, bring bug spray, keep the kids out of the weeds at the edge of the property or else you'll have ticks brought into your car, be forewarned you pay $5 to bring in outside food, which is still worth it for, say, a couple pizzas.

Despite the light rain, everything was great. The staff was friendly, and the movie quality was perfect. The snacks were a little pricey, so next time I would pay the additional $5 per car to bring in my own food. Some lighting along the rows would be helpful as well.

Don't waste your money here. The owner can't be bothered to enforce the rules. In between the two movies tonight a jeep moved into the car only parking and parked backwards. Someone else in a new jetta switched from screen 2 to the screen we were watching. They parked their car next to us and left it running with the parking lights on while they all went to the snack bar. So the jeep owner took it upon himself to turn on his headlights, blinding us and everybody else behind the second row. The owner/manager of the drive-in told the jeep owner to turn off their lights, then looked at the jetta... but when he couldn't find the owner, instead of checking the snack bar, he just went back to the front office. So the jeep owner turned his lights back on. The manager told him to turn them off again, but he didn't, and the manager just walked away. As the manager was wandering around useless, I went to the jetta next to us and took out the keys and dropped them on the seat. The owner of the car happened to be FINALLY coming back to the vehicle and started swearing at me. I get back in our car, and say something to my girlfriend about the guy next to us... and the manager runs over to my window and tells me to leave. So we demanded our money back and left. Won't be spending any more money there. They can't be bothered to remove people who are breaking the rules and ruining others' night. You're better off paying more and seeing it in a real theater.
