I went on a whole day snorkeling adventure with Totof. It was so much fun. Besides snorkeling the trip also included a delicious barbecue on the light house island. A scenic stop at 2 other small islands . Cold drinks with your feet in the water....More

Blue Bay is amazing even though most beaches are taken by resorts. However, as these are technically public, everyone can use them. You can either use a public blue bay beach which is nice enough and just a couple of minutes away from Mahebourg, or...More

We snorkelled today at the beautiful Blue Bay Marine Park in SE Mauritius near Mahebourg. Lots of lovely boat operators and we used Toto who were not only excellent but offered the lowest rate, only 300 rupees pp (A$12) for an hour including equipment. You...More

We had been in the North and found the South area very different. Suddenly food was cheaper and seemed to be the area with more locals. Glass bottom boats go out continuously, 1hr per trip allowing you to jump in the water to snorkle. A...More

Nice beach, lots of little stalls, a good place to hang out if you don't mind it being a little more crowded than some. I was told that when the nearby airport was extended the spoil was dumped in the wrong place so this damaged...More

We came here as part of a day trip in a higher car and stopped for lunch. The bay is very pretty and the water as blue as the name suggests. As you would expect there are some local vendor’s of handmade jewellery who will...More

I haven’t been snorkelling many times however the stunning scenes snorkelling here are unforgettable. We booked a private glass bottom boat and snorkelling trip further out into Blue Bay and just soaked up all the sea life. Just beautiful

The glass bottom boat tour we took was great. The clear water meant we got to see a lot of sea life and coral. Locals/Boat operators should take care to protect the reef to safeguard the abundant fauna as well as their livelihoods.

On the start of our day long boat trip we took a glass bottom boat and viewed the amazing coral reef in Blue Bay. So far the best coral reef in the Mauritius Island we have been on.

Certainly you can snorkel from the beach, but about 15m from the beach there' a safety line you can't swim over because of boat traffic. You may arrange a snorkeling trip with a boat in other close beaches where there are... More
