This library is a gem of a library. The construction is historical, built by one of the early fathers of Montour Falls, as were several other buildings in the vicinity. There is a small museum in the back, that many people never find. The library itself is not large, but has a good selection of books. There is a nice... More

The Montour Falls Library and Courthouse sit right next to one another. They appear to be of the same era. Located on Main St. and right around the corner from She-Qua-ga Falls. It's nice to stop by to view these great old buildings.

It is well worth stopping by to see the exterior, and if it's open, the interior of this beautiful little library. The building that is now the Montour Falls Memorial Library was the last of the six buildings built by Charles Cook that are now in Montour Falls' Glorious T historic district. The building was under construction in 1866 when... More

Travelling through the area and came across the library. Very quaint inside. It's small, but it was interesting to read on the history of Montour. Worth the visit.

The Montour Falls library has to be one of the most beautiful and well-preserved structures in the village. It was wonderful to see how a small town and its residents had put so much effort in maintaining its beautiful appearance. Even if not looking for a book, take a moment and stop in.

We didn't venture inside, but stopped to snap a photo of the amazing architecture. This, and the neighbouring theater building are great finds in such a small town.

What drew us to this brilliant library was a trip to Montour Falls which is an eye opener , as my previous concept was its sister Niagara. Almost as high as Niagara, these falls descend beautifully in three tiers forming a dramatic backdrop for the village. The village's historic district is remarkable for its handsome Greek Revival buildings, the library being... More

Enjoy the outside and then enter to see the beautiful windows and small town set up, be sure to ask to visit the Civil War collection and old documents areas. Spitting distance from She-Qua-Gua Falls.

Beautiful old building with lovely stained glass windows. Staffed by very pleasant, helpful young woman. Loved the civil war in a few pages in the back room. Glad we took the time to visit.
