Had a great hike to the 2 waterfalls. The water was a bit cold but got used to it fairly quick. Good place to take the kids as well. Wear water shoes or something similar.

hiked to the falls then even used the ropes to challenge further...very beautiful!! wear water shoes so sneaks dont get wet

If you hike far enough you'll find a swimming area! About a mile and a half or less of a hike. Lovely area

Grimes Glen is a nice hike that isn't that difficult and doesn't require a lot of time to complete. It fits nicely into a morning or afternoon. Great for families of varying ages and abilities.

Yes. We did enter the water on several of our trips. You have too. No way to go all the way to the falls without walking up the water.
