Great morning learning about the early settlers. The staff were really helpful showing us around, answering questions and getting into their parts. More than worth the small cost.

The lecture given by the young, costumed Indian was informative and interesting. As the lecture continued, it was enhanced and customized by the intereaction between the presenter and the audience. It was my kind of history lesson!

I visited Fort Delaware on a whim not knowing anything about it when I was visiting Narrowsburg, NY recently. It is a recreation of an old fort that had once sat on the Pennsylvania side of the river before it had been torn down. The museum site is composed of a small gift shop, the fort itself with three homes inside and all sorts of artifacts to see inside a black smith shop, tanning and skinning home, family barracks, places to cook and weave and places where they settlers needed to defend themselves. The actors are a little hokey but are nice to talk to for regular conversation. It seems like a tough job at times setting this all up for the visitors. It is a great place to take small children to visit but with teenagers its another story. I think the interest level is depending on how much you like history. I got through the whole tour on my own in about an hour and saw everything. There is also nice picnic tables in the back to have lunch. On a nice day, it is a good day trip.

I am a history buff and love anything from the revolutionary war to the civil war time period. Unlike many museums where you go in to look at signs and artifacts , here you walk into the artifact itself. Our guides were great and very knowledgeable about the history of the area and took time for all of our questions. The price of seven dollars admission is more than reasonable . I really encourage everyone to make a little time to visit Fort Delaware . You will leave appreciating what our ancestors had to go through .

My fiance and I had a great time visiting the museum. We were there for about an hour and learned a lot from the actors that were there. Family friendly. We'd highly recommend.
