No masks on OWNER?!
May 2021 • Family
Don’t get me wrong, the fresh produce selection and different plants are beautiful! That’s the only reason this review has two stars and not one. Lots of fruit flies on the food though. My problem is with the staff. The owner/lady behind the counter was extremely rude to me. I simply asked her if any of her baked goods were plant based(I told her that they looked really yummy) because I wanted to try one. She said no. Ok; I was kind of expecting that. Then she proceeded to say that “this is a traditional bakery which uses eggs, lard, and flour”. I informed her that flour is vegan and she said that it is not because it is not plant-based. I have no words lol. Then she kept almost mocking me for my dietary choices. What a great way to get a customer to come back to your business, right? Not only that but she WAS NOT WEARING A MASK, she kept PUTTING HER FACE NEAR OUR OPEN FOOD and kept coming closer to us than 6 feet. When I was walking through the store, she came really close to my face and said, “I’m going to the bathroom”. Um, why are you so close with NO MASK??! Besides that, the chickens didn’t look so comfy in their cages :/

Quick stop

I read that this place has the best apple cider donuts ever.. Not.. the price is right.. 3.99 for 6 but not the best. Parking is a little tough when busy.. over all, nice little road side farm market.

Year after Year the best farm for the fall season
Oct. 2019 • Family
From all varieties of apples, fruit, baked goods including the best cider donuts, pumpkins, fall plants, apple cider and even $1 turkey sandwiches this is our favorite stop when the fall season arrives. Convenient location off the main road, they even have shopping carts and wagons to haul all your goodies. Great place for families. The farm staff is like family, very friendly and all smiles, great conversation. They also have bathrooms. Highly recommend this farm, I look foward to going up every year with my family.

Dollar Sandwiches, Apple Cider Donuts, Good Conversation - What more to ask for?
Oct. 2018 • Friends
This very visible farm market on Route 9W should be a first stop for travelers and locals. Each morning the crew makes apple cider donuts that are just the right size for snacking, roasted turkey sandwiches for $1 each, hard-boiled eggs, cut vegetables to have with your sandwich, and several other goodies to eat right then and also take with you. The lady who is there most days at the crack of dawn is humorous and helpful - fun to talk with while you're shopping. We took home apples and they have lasted more than 10 days, we've enjoyed them every day. I wish they could ship them. The Overlook offers vegetables, fresh eggs (chickens on site), flowers, and other market items but I have to say I came there for the apple cider donuts and the dollar sandwiches - a real treat!

Pleasant surprise
Sep. 2016 • Family
amazing to find a place that still values customers as people and not wallets and pocketbooks.

They price in the sweet spot between making a buck and being fare. Other farms in the area have gone hog wild with prices for a taste of country life. $30 a bag apples anyone???

I look forward to our next visit here. Try the pie and other homemade goods.

One of the best Farmers Markets in the area
Mar. 2016 • Solo
I have driven up 9W to the Overlook Farm Market for years. Why? Besides plants, fresh fruit and vegetables, there are home made pies and other desserts as well as sandwiches - including their famous $1 turkey sandwich. Then there is the daily surprise: a soup, sometimes Ratatouille ( a favorite of mine)

Overlook is an authentic run family business. It is one of the few few farms that still have Jonathan apples in season - (One of my favorite apples. Mmmm. ) I know of no other farm store that carries Jonathans...you certainly can not find them in the supermarket. Overlook Farm Market also sells McIntosh, Cortland, Delicious, Fuji, Gala, Honeycrisp, Macoun etc.

In Spring you will find plants and small trees for your garden and of course there are fresh cut Christmas trees in season.

Nina does all the cooking and baking. She is such a pleasure to meet and buy from. I try to drive up at least once a week - especially in apple harvest time.
