I like walking bridges. When I lived in the Bay Area, I walked over the Golden Gate Bridge a few times a year. I walk to work now from my home in Brooklyn to my job in lower Manhattan over the Brooklyn Bridge. So when...More

The Ham Fish Bridge is named for a local congressman Hamilton Fish Jr. His Dad - Ham Fish Sr. had held the seat in Congress before him. Both are rather famous. On a bridge related note, heading westbound on the bridge [Route 84], the right...More

We love this bridge. It looks great from a distance, and, it even looks great when you drive across it. We wanted to park and make use of the pedestrian/bike lane, but always, it was raining really hard, most of the time we were in...More

This is a very dis-organized bridge. For some stupid reason they put the expass lanes in the middle, not to one side or the other. At busy times, when traffic backs up, you can't get to the ezpass lanes which just slows everything down. In...More

This Bridge has been here since the Ferry was discontinued. Still pay a toll but only one way. Lots of improvement done & no waiting at Toll booth unless its a holiday. Still doesn't cost as much as other bridges.

It is great to walk or bike across the span. The passing traffic can be very loud but the view of our majestic Hudson River and surrounding cliffs, boats, island etc are worth a little noise. In October the leaves will be changing and the...More

I have crossed this bridge a couple of times during my stay in Newburgh to get to Brewster. An amazing cool sight!! If you crossed on the way back to Newburgh it is soo awesome. Would love to take a picture next time!

I take this bridge regularly when I ride my bike. The bike path is not heavily used, and the pedestrians usually give way. There are also fantastic views of the Hudson from the bridge. For Fourth of July this is the greatest place to come...More

While driving on I-84, I crossed the Hudson River on this bridge. What can I say, the bridge did keep us from driving into the river.

They have manned toll collectors. I have a ez pass which I don't stop. You shouldn't have any problems, anyway who today carries change? What happens if your credit card or debit card you misplaced? It's better to have some... More
