This complements the whole experience of seeing the waterfalls. It would be incomplete without this. Not expensive and we didn't have to wait too much to get on boat. Those 10 minutes that you are just there, under the waterfalls, are unforgettable. Really nice experience.

We visited in September and arrived just an hour and a half before the Maid of the Mist closed. We were able to walk right up to the front of the boat, which was far from crowded, and got to experience the Mist for sure!...More

Fantastic views. We got really close to the falls (and quite wet despite the poncho!). I arrived early in morning to avoid the queues and only had a short wait (5-10 minutes). Well worth the experience!

I would highly recommend you go on this, as the boat ride gives you a close up view of the Niagara in all its majestic glory. Be ready to get wet, despite the rain coat they give you - its all part of the experience

Very educational and fun for anyone over the age of 4. I would not personally take anyone on under the age of 8 because of all the water however that is my thoughts.

it's best to go on the Maid of the Mist website and check their hours of operation. There is definitely Limited hours during the off-season but I don't know if they close entirely in the winter
