The Maid of the Mist relies heavily on the weather, in the winter it is not a good idea to utilise the trip. As a result, the operators would not run the experience and would open the ride depending on the conditions available. Depending on the weather the ride may open early and of course, if the weather does not clear up the ride would not operate. On the ride, you will get wet and it can get quite windy. It would not be pleasant in the winter.
