Excellent walking area. Take the stairs, by Devil's Hole, down to the Niagara River, they're old (probably built during the Depression era) and may be challenging for some (especially on the way back up).

Love this park and the scenery. My husband and I visited years ago and also brought our children. This time a bereaving friend and I went to celebrate our husbands' lives. Still a wonderful place with good vibes.

As a State Park, Whirlpool State Park is just decent. I don't really find it to be all that special. Sure, there is the whirlpool in the Niagara River below, but other than that, that's all this park has going for it. There is a...More

Our tour guide took us here to see the whirlpools at about sunset and it was really gorgeous. I believe it's also a stop on the trolley route, which is nice! It also has a great view of the Canada side.
