We have visited Reservoir State Park several times...great place to relax, walk, search for unique items on the shore line, and skip a rock or two. Lots of parking and open grass area. Great place to get away from the tourists.

Very quiet when we passed by, as we rode along the very nice bicycle path. Lots of picnic tables and other amenities. Easy off-on and well announced stop along the parkway.

Hike, Walk, Run around Niagara Reservoir 7.3 miles
Jun 2018 • Family
Hike, Walk, Run around Niagara Reservoir.
If you park at the Power Authority parking lot, and take paved trail up onto reservoir embankment, you can walk around most of the way. If you go counter clockwise, following the mile markers, around 6 miles you will come to a "no trespassing" gate. Go through it, and at 6.5 miles, just before the dam, on the right you will see a radio tower and a little dirt path that goes out by a cematary on Witmer Road, go out that way (steep climb down the embankment to path), turning L on Witmer and cross in front of the dam on Witmer road back to the parking lot for a total of 7.3 miles. Or do it in reverse, going in front of dam on Witmer, turn right on dirt road by cemetary . . .

We did Relay For Life of Greater Niagara here.

The park was clean and perfect for this event. They allowed to have a live horse for one of the ceremonies during the event, which was wonderful. The restroom were clean and there was a maintenance guy around who was keeping everything clean and running.

lots to do
Jul 2015 • Couples
this is a fairly ordinary expanse of land with ball diamonds... I honestly believe that some of the other reviewers are speaking of another park, as this one, reservoir, is well inland... good for general recreation, picnicking, not at all scenic

I love all the parks. This one gets you close to the water BEFORE it plummets over the falls. It's still quite and quick at this point.

There was alot of walking here. But the view of the falls are great from this stand point. You walk across the bridge and the water is right under you. They need more refreshment stands.
