we recently had a conference in Lake George and one of the activities involved a hands on demonstration at the (almost) top of Gore. There was over a hundred of us and the staff accommodated us very nicely. Part of the group hiked the remainder of the way from the gondola drop off spot to the summit where there is... More

As a family, we have enjoyed snow tubing in mid- winter and gondola rides in fall. We all love both! We have been doing this for several years. The views from the top of the mountain are incredible. We have found the snow tubing less crowed than other runs in the area.

North Creek is a beautiful little town with lots to do. The Mohawk flows through the town so in the summer there is rafting, fishing, photography. But in the winter, Gore Mountain is the centerpiece. One of the best in the Adirondacks. Long runs, usually good snow and a nice lodge.

While in the Adirondacks recently, I went skiing a few times at Gore Mountain. The trails are good and the snow machines put out a decent covering, making up for the lack of much actual snow. The best time to go is during the week when the lines will be shortest and the slopes the least crowded. I went one... More

Thank you so much for recently choosing Gore and sharing your experience with others. Not sure if the crowding you experienced was during this season or a past year? We have been and are continuing to make several improvements to this regard- we appreciate the feedback. Our snowmaking team thanks you for the compliments as well- we are glad you... More

This was my first time skiing on the east coast and my expectations were pretty low but Gore was great, cold but much better and longer runs than I was expecting. The bar was fun too and made for a decent apres ski. I would definitely go back again.

Many thanks for your review, and I am so glad you gave Gore a try! While it was quite a winter for you to be introduced to East Coast skiing, the great news is it keeps getting lots better from here. I am pleased you enjoyed the Tannery, it is a fun scene. Gore delivers the most vertical within the... More

So - the season has been pretty toilet on the east coast, as all you skiiers know, but we had booked a week's accomodation near Gore so gave it a spin anyway. We had a very mixed crew with experts and complete beginners, which is one reason we thought Gore would be good because of the mix of blacks and... More

I am so happy that your group visited us and that our terrain worked well for the variety of ability levels you had with you! You are correct, when the season is even a little bit snowier, opportunities abound for beginners, intermediates, and experts. I hope you can return to discover our glades too. We are still open this weekend!... More

Our Ski Club spent the weekend skiing & boarding @ Gore Mountain. Usually we travel to Vermont but decided to try something new. We were pleasantly surprised with the variety of trails/lifts that Gore has to offer! The Lodge is spacious with plenty of tables upstairs & downstairs. There are two beginner areas where novices can practice their skills. The... More

We went with the family and found the staff to be friendly and nice. The ski mountain itself has really grown and become a mountain that has great expert trails on top of a excellent intermediate trails. It is worth considering over the bigger named resorts.

Thank you so much for your review! Great that you visited! While do offer the most skiable terrain in New York State, sometimes people still consider us on the smaller side because there is no slopeside lodging. However there are plenty of nice options within 2 minutes of the slopes, some with shuttle. Again, we appreciate you spending time with... More

1st time here. Presidents weekend with our 4 kids. Temps in the negative. Loved having the gondola right in the middle of the mountain. Gave us enough of a break from the bone chilling weather to keep on skiing. Could access all the trails we wanted from this gondola. Thought the blue trails were on point. Not too hard. Friendly...
