went through the desert on quad bikes, what an experience. Not something I would normally choose to do , but so glad I did. Brilliant

This is a 10 km stretch of white sand dunes near Rabil in Boa Vista. You can go there during the day or on full moons. It's awesome. However, if you're going to walk in it, be in good shape, bring plenty of water, sunglasses...More

Large dunes of snow-white sand, with some skinny shrubs. To get there, you have to follow difficult stone and sand tracks.

went there in a pick up, traveled trough the dunes and walked on top of them... really white and thin sand, remembering the desert it self, watch out for the heat..

Very hot location with Senegalese trying to sell you their crap art. No water around, that makes this a dangerous place to dehidrate yourself

We visited desert by a whole day trip through the island. Funny experience by sandboarding. Lending os boards and short instruction are included in entry fee. There's a possibility of snacks and drinks at place

Had a quats trip here. Honestly breath taking views this combination of desert and the ocean just next to. Highly recommend to visit if you are in Boa Vista!

Amazing real desert with lovely thin cold sand. Must be appreciated with bare feet because it does not get hot owing to the cold winds that surround it. Great experience.

I don't think so...i'm pretty sure you have to be 18. We certainly didn't see any children on them AND the terrain is extremely challenging!
