Camped the night at the campsite with a lovely outside shower and toilet area. Could hear the animals in our tent and saw a huge porcupine in the night. Beautiful camping spot with wood provided. Beautiful reserve with lots of animals.

This place is packed with game. There is leopard, cheetah, hyena, and african wild dog. If you are staying overnight at any of the camps, there is plenty of opportunity to go on game drives to see the predators up close.

A real highlight of our trip. We stayed on one of their 4 spacious campsites which had a huge kitchen area, shower with masses of hot water and our own open to the elements toilet! There was plenty of firewood supplied in this beautiful location. We went out for the afternoon with two delightful, enthusiastic, passionate guides who showed us... More

First of all, a big big thank you to okonjima staff. The reserve is a must see in your Namibia trip - don't skip it and spend a minimum of 1 night here, you won't regret it!!. So we stayed here in Aug 2016 for 1 night and had 3 game drives (afternoon - leopard game, night drive and morning... More

This one on of the best places we stayed in our trip to Namibia. We did an evening cheetah tracking activity where once we had found the cheetahs, we were able to walk as close as 5-10m away from them! The guides were fabulous and obviously very passionate about the wellbeing of the cats.

We had great game drives with our guide Barnabas. They have a bunch of wild cats, hyanes, and other animals with transmitting collars, which can be tracked down by a tracing antenna. Barnabas tried very hard and was able to bring us to one younger female leopard in the bushes, a cheetah couple under a tree at a few meters... More

This is a great preserve and you are guaranteed to see cheetahs and Leopards. Our lodging was wonderful and the food was delicious. The people are more then helpful and they put you with great guides. Our guide was Martin .. We did a private tour to see the leopard and cheetahs. We are nature photographers and Martin put us... This project is about the rescue, rehabilitation and release in wild of cats; it's supported by the lodge business as well as by donations. It's a convenient way to see cats as well as many other animals in one place albeit... More

My family and I stayed at Okonjima in June 2016. We stayed for two nights as self-catering campers at the Omboroko Campsite. Given that Okonjima also has many spectacular luxury accommodation options I expected that campers would be treated with a little less priority. I was entirely wrong. From the moment we arrived we were greeted warmly and made to... More

Okonjima is a perfect stop over to Etosha from Windhoek. It’s a reserve that rescues injured animals but it’s a large so you can go on morning and night rides and see plenty of animals. It’s a private reserve with smart guides who are very knowledgeable about each animal. We arrived about 2 hours before dinner so freshened up, grabbed... More
