Saw this from the A6 and took a mini diversion of 10 minutes to take a look. Five euros each and very good value. English translation and also an audio video experience. Well worth it if passing and a great way to spend a good hour or so when also taking in the picturesque village. Delightful and a great piece... More

Interesting visit, educational, although the chateau is not in nearly as good of condition as Chateau de la Rochepot.

It felt like a movie set. So beautiful. This isn't the largest chateau utt is super charming. The town is also a fairytale setting. They have done a lot of recent renovations. It all adds up to a lovely visit. The views are stunning.

We arrived quite late to this village for a stop over on our drive back to Calais, tired and not sure we were up for more tourism. We were glad we made the effort- it's a small castle, and perfectly formed for an interesting visit of about an hour, so not taxing. It is very charming as is the village... More

On our return to Beaune on the A6 after visiting Abbey de Fonenay and Chateau Ancy le Franc, we noticed the medieval town of Semur en Auxous and the prominent Chateunoif-en-Auxous. We decided to visit both the next day starting with Semur en Auxois. We approached the fortified castle of Chateauneuf from the west and drove up a very steep... More

Beautifully restored, this small Castle and it's surrounding village buildings are a great stop for a quick visit and lunch, or coffee (2 hours would be enough). The views are wonderful and the entry price is only 5 Euro.

A lovely couple of hours spent at this chateau and the pretty village where it is situated. Lovely views and walks can be taken from the village.

An excellent chateau in an unspoilt village high above valley. Good family value. Chateuxneuf is quite busy with cars passing through the tight streets. We parked below the chateau on the roadside and walked.

Only a few parking lots inside the village, so, the best is to follow the main street uphill to the end, where a big free parking area has been installed (at 200 meters from the hill gate), just follow the signs. Each first Sunday of the month the entrance to this very impressive castle is free. Strolling around in this... More

Timely visit as the weekend faire was in full swing. Arrived at opening so had parking and not crowded. So much to see and do with crafts, performers and period baking demonstrations. A troupe of performer danced and marched through the village and the tour of the castle topped things off. If you're in the Beaune/Dijon area its a must... More
