Roughly 300 steps down (and up!) might deter some, but the round trip is made worthwhile by the bay at the bottom and the excellent restaurants to be found there.

If you do nothing else in Santorini, make certain to be at one of the restaurants in Amoudi Bay at sunset.

About 200 steps one way from Oia to Amoudi Bay but worth the trip. You can also take a car, taxi or donkey.

We had the most amazing meal at a place called sunset. We sat watching a beautiful sunset during our evening meal. I would advise everyone to visit on their trip to Santorini.

Unique port. Has a special vibe. Make sure to wear sports wear and grab at least 1.5 liter of water per person because the trip by foot is tough a specially the return from the port. Enjoy!

You can take the road to the bottom (sea level) just as the cars do. I'm not sure if ATV's are restricted, but I know scooter's aren't. However, I'm also not sure if you can park the ATV, as the area by the restaurants... More
