If you come to Oia, seeing the sun set into the Aegean Sea is an absolute bucket list item. Get to the per by no later than 7:15p, as the crowds are pretty dense.

Our time in oia was heightened by the location of our hotel/home. It’s located at the top of the hill in oia where everybody was crowding to see the sunset. I was surprised at the amount of people that came And they start to get...More

Don't even bother getting an early spot (if you're not sitting at a Cafe) - everybody will eventually squeeze their way into your "spot" seeing as there is only so much space to view the sunset, especially in peak season. Not even the crowded walkways...More

Wednesday is a good day to visit as no cruise ship tours are wondering around the narrow lanes. Watch from the end of the town but get there early as parking is a problem and the lanes get very very busy!

The afternoon boat trip to volcano and Thirassia includes sunset view. It is another option to that of the bus trip to view sunset at Oia.

The most famous sunset in the world. If you visit Oia, then you have to see it.Go early because there are a lot of people.

Try to get there a little earlier as it tends to get crowded so you won't find a good spot to view the sunset, especially in tourist season. Definitely worth it, a truly humbling experience, great pictures and extremely beautiful views.

You have to see it at least once in your life. You can admire how the nature is beautiful. I would suggest to go in couple ;)

The sunset is good viewed from Oia if you like crowds!!! We stayed in Imerovigli and by far the best sunsets we saw were from here not only less people but the backdrops are stunning.
