Very tranquil, so please take care when you enter as the Sisters might be preparing for the Mass. I warned the other tourists before they entered so that the Sisters didn't get disturbed by us.

This convent is located across a narrow street from the Duomo, we visited twice during our stay and the chapel within the convent was closed both times, but the church was open. This is the oldest Catholic nunnery in Greece, originally founded in 1595. The current building dates from 1864, but was damaged and repaired after the 1956 earthquake. The church within the convent grounds is the Church of the Virgin of the Rosary was consecrated in 1825. In the sanctuary behind the altar is the icon of Our Lady of the Rosary with St. Dominic and St. Catherine flanked by statues of St. Joseph and the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

I didn't get a chance to go in but this place was very pretty. The Church has an entrance on the main street and it is a nice hideaway from the hustle and bustle.

Monastery of Dominican Sisters and St. John the Baptist's Cathedral refer to the same location in Fira. The white and yellow structures stand out in the town center near to the cable car station. You can enter to view the Monastery if the door gate is open during your time of visit there. Nice to have a look inside.

Since the Monastery of the Dominican Sisters is basically the same place as St John the Bastist's Cathedral, you get to see both at once and they are pretty much the same. The Monastery seems to have some doors that are all locked and you are unable to get inside, however, if the gate is open you can go through to the church in behind. There is some beauty to this church/Monastery for sure, and it is worth it to stop and take some photos and say hello to the cats that are hanging out outside the gates!

We were lucky enough to stop by while the sisters were singing, what a beautiful experience. They must be a cloistered group of nuns as they were behind a screen that covered the whole altar area. Loved the experience

This is great to look at from outside but if you want to attend a service then plan ahead and see when they will be open. Hours are very limited.

On the white winding roads of Fira you come across few Churches ⛪ one of them is this one , no blue dome but has a quite beauty of its own. I liked it.
