The area is, and always has been, a beautiful, scenic location. It is also, and always has been, an area plagued by enormous horseflies. This has been going on for the more than 35 years that I am familiar with this place and the reason...More

Quite place, clean and well kept in south Oceanside. Good place to stop if your not from the area and want to see the bay and marshland.

Very nice marine nature study area locally. We went here with the high school when younger and I enjoy going here to see the local flora and fauna. Has recovered well since the storm five years ago.

By staying still along the trail, you can observe many species of wildlife, especially types of birds. The trails are peaceful, except for when the Canadian geese are nesting - BEWARE - they attack!

A nice relaxing self guided experience with nature. Requires walking on small boardwalk type paths. You can see many animals, both in and out of the water. Kids had a good time. Peaceful and low key.

We lived near the Marine Nature Study area for 43 years and enjoyed the peace and tranquility on many occasions. They have a small museum of local marine and marsh life as well as many walks through the tidal wetlands.
