I've been enamored with Frederic Remington for years. I've collected a number of his works which are proudly on display in my man cave. Here we have paintings, sculptures, drawings and a look into the life and times of this great American artist. You don't have to be a fan to enjoy what you find here. My wife and I... More

Small museum in a small town along the St. Lawrence Seaway. Lots of his sculptures, drawings, and paintings. Better than expected. Glad we stopped by to see the museum. The museum is in his widow's house and it is a marvelous building. Staff is really nice, helpful, and very knowledgeable.

We knew about this museum for several years before finally visiting it. We must have stayed for 3 hours. The staff were more than willing to answer our questions about their collection, the exhibit explaining the processes used by Remington were very interesting and the beauty and detail of Remington's sculptures when you see them in person (rather than in... Visited with friends on a rainy day. What a pleasant surprise. So well done, perfectly edited between paintings, drawings, sculptures and local history. Well worth a detour. Truly enjoyed our visit.

We opted for a visit to this museum because my Dad is a huge fan of the wild west era. I did not expect to enjoy it, but I did! The house the museum is in is absolutely beautiful. The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive and the story of Frederic Remington turned out to be a good tale. The... More

If you irked the gods and for some reason find yourself in Ogdensburg, go to the FRAM. Great museum in an otherwise cultural wasteland. They have a large collection of Remington bronzes and paintings. The education area is great for children. The curator and staff are happy to help with any questions. In the Summer, it can occasionally be busy... More

I've maintained a membership to this small but excellent museum, which not only houses paintings and sculpture by Frederic Remington but also houses some of Remington's collection and many objects from his life. Fascinating history of a great North Country epoch housed here through Remington's life here and in the West. I take ALL visitors here, and all are fascinated.... More

The Remington Art Museum is a first class museum in Ogdensburg. The museum houses many original works of art from bronzes to paintings, and all are displayed in state of the art and inviting displays. The staff are friendly, the museum is in a beatifully maintained historic mansion, and the gift shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. The museum... More

You probably think of Remington as a western artist, but his work was far more diverse. This small gem of a museum gives you a great sense of the man and his times.
