It was also here that the first vinifera vines were planted, sparking a renaissance in winemaking. Keuka offers the most diverse group of wineries of any destination in the Finger Lakes. Spent a delightful weekend in Penn Yan and visited several wineries along the Keuka Wine Trail. Friendly people and good wine were plentiful. Not such a busy time of the year so we met some owners and winemakers during our visits. Certainly check out Keuka Spring and Dr. Frank's.

It may be winter but it is still a good time to visit the Keuka Lake area and the wine trail. Too many choices for a weekend but I would suggest Dr. Frank, Heron Hill, and Keuka Spring to start. Penn Yan makes a good base to visit from with nice B&B choices. Avoid the chain hotels but check out... More

We stayed at Trimmer House B&B in Penn Yan which proved to be a perfect location for our wine trail weekend. The wineries were in full holiday swing with lots of good selections. Dr. Frank's is one of our favorites but Rooster Hill and Keuka Spring are also top notch. Too many wineries for one weekend so we will visit... More

We always enjoy or visits to the Keuka WineTrail. There is always something new to try. Keuka Spring is our favorite but that said, there are many good wineries and wines to be found. Penn Yang is the perfect place to stay for your visit because you will want to spend more than a day.

WE have coming to Keuka Lake & wine trail ( plus Seneca & Cayuga lakes) for more than 25 years! The wines here are mostly Riesling, which is consistent with the soil and the lake affect. Every time we visit, the Wine tastings are consistent! We "Do not" worry about what ornament we received, But, only the "Great~fantastic wines that... More

First off I want to write that this is a beautiful lake and a nice tour. The rating is for the Keuka Holiday tour. You purchase tickets in advance. At the first winery you are given a glass to use at each winery, grapevine wreath and then an ornament at each winery. Three of the six ornaments were cut from... More

This trail can be done in a day if ambitious as the distance from wineries aren't very long. The views in many of these are beautiful and had pleasant exchanges in all that I attended. Purchased a wine passport for myself and its worth it $12 and it includes tastings at 7 wineries. Dr. Franks isn't a part of it... More

This was our first time on the Keuka Lake Wine Trail, and we were pleasantly surprised. Although it is not as populated as Seneca with the wineries, this was also a benefit to tasting (very few buses). There were a lot of rieslings in the wineries on this trail and they were almost all very good.

This review is just for the Holiday event We were really excited to find out that the same weekend we would be in town. The event is for 7 wineries where you receive a wreath and ornament at each one. I'd say you receive an ornament at one and paper ones at the others Each winery was good in its... More
