Reserved with this company for a group of 30 people for a May cruise LAST AUGUST. They confirmed the space. On a call today, asking about why I had never received a confirmation, I'm informed they are not honoring the reservation. "Because we do school...More

We were looking for something fun to do that won't involve a lot of walking- 2 people have difficulty walking a lot. We all grew up in Rochester and yet learned so much about the Erie canal. I have never gone thru a lock before...More

The price for this cruise down the Erie Canal, and through a lock and back again is a real value. The cruise guide is well versed in the history of the area, and of the Canal, and the views of this exquisite area of New...More

What a wonderful way to experience this piece of history! The boat was full but this part of the fun. The guide and his assistant were great and we enjoyed hearing about the history.

This is one of my favorite things to do with guests from out of town. I grew up in northern Virginia and learned the Erie Canal song, but until I moved here, I had no idea how incredible it was. It is great to learn...More

It's a nice leisurely ride along the canal. The opening of Lock 32 was interesting. The location, from where the boat ride starts, is very pictersque. It has a few restaurants and a Gelato/coffee place.

There are Erie Canal boat tours available in several locales but this one in Pittsford is unique in that the boat is a replica of an authentic Packet Boat, the primary mode of passenger transportation during the early decades after the opening of the canal....More

The tour was 90 minutes long which had you go down part of the old Erie Canal. It showed you how a lock works and gave you a narration of the whole process. Very interesting if you like historical facts

The only reason I did not rate a 5 star experience is bc it is a bit cramped and due to being enclosed it’s quite warm. That said the crew was amazing, attentive and humorous. There is beverage service and snacks offered at a reasonable...More

Thank you for your kind review. As a replica packet boat, the Sam Patch can certainly feel less spacious than folks are used to. So glad you enjoyed your trip.

I would assume so, actually very little space is outside of cover, all the seats are under cover.
