The Emporium is a fun place for kids. There is much to do, and the staff is very helpful. It's perfect for children aged 3 to 6. It is a small place, however, and it can get crowded quickly. Take your grandkids there for a...More

Visited the Explorium with our grandchildren, ages 3 and 6. This indoor facility feaures many hands on activities for the children. They learn about science without realizing it. Will go there again.

There is something for everyone...what more could a kid want but a boat filled with rice and toys, computer interactions, hands on explorations, etc. All were wonderfully supervised and the staff could not have done enough to make sure that all were engaged. The summer...More

Our granddaughter loved this place, the two young ladies that interacted with her were exceptional. She did not want to leave.

My family and I enjoyed our afternoon here. Nancy was very nice and had some great interaction with the kids. We spent about an hour and a half, most building and taking things apart. There was also a small craft.

What better way to enjoy the local Port Jefferson history than the Maritime Explorium right next to the building that built fishing vessels

What a wonderful place for children! We visited with our 7 year old and 3 year old. Both loved the place. The close to 3 hours we spent there was well worth the one hour trip from home. All exhibits and activities were working and...More

This is a great spot for families looking for something to do on the weekends. Educational and fun both you and your children will enjoy and what a great location right on the waterfront.

This is a small but fun and entertaining facility. What I don't understand is why they charge for adults. It is a facility for children. It is frustrating that what could be a economical day out for the kids turns pricey when the adults have...More

Yes! We are a short walk away from the ferry on the Port Jeff side of the Sound. Head East for about 5 minutes, we are just East of Danfords hotel.
