The Walkway is a great public amenity. Plan for at least an hour to stroll across and back. Very popular, especially on weekends. Safe, with lots of families and dog-walkers. It can get windy at times, so be prepared, but don't make excuses. Get moving!

The walkway is a repurposed railroad bridge over the Hudson River. Bring a pair of binoculars for the best views.

The walkway is a totally unique attraction and worth the trip no matter how far away you are. Parking is easier on the west side of the river.

I had the opportunity to go to Walkway Over the Hudson with my grandchildren and we loved it. The view is spectacular. There is plenty of room for bicyclists and walkers to enjoy the great view.

If you're u are very sensitive to heights then you can certainly turn around if you bothered. The height increases gradually and if you started to have a problem where you can't turn back, you could take the elevator down... More
