Craftsmanship that shows pride in the work, something missing in work today. Movies and concerts are varied, the theater is as much the point of going there as the show. It never gets"old" going there.

When I was growing up in the area, this was a movie theater. It has been restored to its beautiful grandeur. It hosts a wide variety of shows - music, theater, movies. Regardless of the reason you are visiting this theater, the beauty of the...More

The Bardavon is a beautiful facility in downtown Poughkeepsie. Numerous stars have taken the stage throughout the history of the venue. They invite schools to participate in educational programs at a reduced rate. Students enjoyed a concert performed by the Hudson Valley Philharmonic and learned...More

Very nice venue for seeing entertainment. Beautiful old theatre. It is unfortunate that the surrounding area is not nice.

Wide range of offerings in historic, beautifully restored old opera house. Good acoustics, and live Met Opera performances make it ever more dubious to travel to NYC.

I saw Paula Poundstone here because I checked the calendar six weeks before making a trip to the area, and I got the last ticket. Great venue for small scale acts. Apparently a restored 1920's movie theater (has organ)/vaudeville house. Seats to match, though, and...More

Always my first choice for concerts. Some of the best concerts I have ever enjoyed have been at The Bardavon, where every seat is a great seat. Sinead O'Connor, Dweezil Zappa, Steve Winwood, Met Opera, Paula Poundstone...something for everyone. They support the community and education...More

Looks like they've only posted events through June on their website. Not sure when or how often they update. You might try an e-mail or a phone call. Sorry.
