The many different cameras and their evolution are fascinating as you enter the museum and I had not known Eastman was so instrumental (no pun intended!) in creating the music scene in Rochester and being such an inventive man in photography. The museum also tells of his unfortunate end which was surprising and made you realize as you walk around... More

George Eastman was a wonderful man and practically created Rochester and was the founder of Kodak. His life was a great example of what people that have money and power can do to help others become successful. The house and grounds are beautiful and interesting for all visitors.

The spring bulb collection in the month of February is wonderful to see and smell. In the summer months the gardens are a place to listen to music and enjoy the sights.

A Rochester Jewel. So great to have the exhibit space attached to where George Eastman worked and lived. A beautiful historic building with excellent photography exhibits. Learn about the history of photography, enjoy the cafe and tour his beautiful house. In the summer, I enjoy the gardens and occasional concerts.

I really love this place. It is not only historic, but a beautiful house that is also showing off the aristocrat's lifestyle back in the 18th century. Though this is a museum focusing on photography development from the very beginning, This in itself is amazing, but I also learned the life of Mr. George Eastman. We had someone who is... More

The Eastman house is wonderful most of the time but especially during the holidays. My husband and I took our almost two year old granddaughter and loved seeing the houses through her eyes! But I went again with friends and saw so much more. The beauty of this house is inexplicable.

House is a combination of Museum and 1930's house of George Eastman. If you want to learn the history of Photography this is the place to go. If you just want to see the gilded era of opulence, it works as well. Never crowded. You can stroll through at your own pace. It is not huge so it can be... More

I took my 83 year old mother and her sister here thinking they would love it. The displays were nothing but reading with a few relics. The house itself had only a few rooms finished which was very disappointing

The house is very nice, last time we went several rooms were closed, which took a lot from the experience....but the history lesson still good.
