I walk here routinely with a friend and recently we invited another long term Rochesterian who had never been. She was impressed with the beauty, uniqueness and peace of walking here.

Peaceful quiet and the trip here was unforgettable. Aside from all the other stoners, it was a journey like no other. This is one place you are likely to spend an eternity.

Toured the cemetery with an 8th grade class and I have to be really honest: so much more interesting and nostalgic than I ever thought it would be. So much history at Mt. Hope and I never knew it. The tour guide was outstanding and...More

This nationally recognized landmark is a must for any history or cemetery enthusiast. "Mausoleum Row" is one of my favorite areas. Elegant structures in granite line up to be enjoyed.

I approach the dead with reverence and enjoy the peaceful setting for prayer and reflection . Too many of my friends have joined the deceased before their lives were fully realized , so I feel the need to pray for grace .

For a small fee you can take a wonderful walking tour of the cemetery always under a different theme. It's beautiful grounds and so much history to be discovered!

Probably in most areas~but would suggest caution. Some of the best monuments need you to walk on grassy areas to be seen.
